Marking Time

A girl is marooned on the sofa: bored and solitary she turns a light on and off using an extended cord. Each time the room is illuminated she is in an entirely different pose, faceless and deep in physical concentration. She attempts to somehow become part of the sofa and there is a sense of amusement in ‘killing’ or marking time as she does this. Shot with no cuts, this rhythmic work is an exploration of loneliness.
